Important information!

Our library's study rooms provide a quiet and tidy environment for both individual group and group sturdy. Please help us maintain the order and clearness of these spaces so they remain pleasant for everyone. We kindly ask you to take care of the rooms and the equipment during use, and to leave the space in the same condition you would like to find it.

Guidelines for Using the Study Rooms
We kindly ask out users to: 

  • Take care of the condition of the rooms and the equipment.
  • Leave the rooms in a clean and tidy state for the next users.
  • Be mindful of other students to ensure a quiet study environment for everyone.

We have established five study rooms on the second floor of the Life and Natural Sciences Library, three in the Böszörményi Road Campus Library, and two study rooms plus one research carrel in the Kassai Road Campus Library. These facilities are available for anyone to use free of charge. Study groups consisting of university students may also reserve these rooms in advance.


Booking in advance 

  • Only registered readers can book in advance 
  • Rooms may be booked for at least for 4 people at a time. 
  • The minimum reservation period is one hour. All persons are limited to a maximum of 4 hours per day, 8 hours per week of booking time across all rooms. 
  • Rooms may be reserved up to 2 weeks in advance, and 1 hour before the chosen date the latest. 
  • The bookings can be cancelled anytime.

How to request a room   

  1. Select a Library and a Study Room, then check if your preferred time slot is available (indicated in green).

  2. Select the duration by clicking on the time slots (minimum 1 hour). You can modify or delete your selection in the list that appears.

  3. [!IMPORTANT] You can check in at the earliest 5 minutes before your scheduled start time. If you do not check in within 15 minutes of the start of your reservation, your booking will be automatically cancelled.

  4. Initiate your reservation by clicking the "Submit Times" button, then log in using your EduID.

  5. Accept the general booking rules by clicking the "Continue" button.

  6. Please provide your library card number and the size of your study group.

  7. You will receive a confirmation email once your booking is successful.

  8. To check into the room, open the link provided in the confirmation email or scan the QR code at the service desks:

    1. Life and Natural Sciences Library (ÉTK): Ground floor

    2. Kassai Road Campus Library (KCK): 1st-floor circulation desk

    3. Böszörményi Road Campus Library (BCK): Reading room service desk

  9. On the page that opens, enter the three-digit check-in code received in your confirmation email.

 

 

Without a booking   

The study rooms can be used without making a booking in advance, if they are free. You can check the booking calendar about the confirmed bookings at this site. Please note, that bookings made in advance have priority! However, if the group that made the booking fail to turn up, you can continue to use the study room.

In the study rooms, please: 

 

  • Use the equipment with responsibility and keep the study rooms clean,   
  • Do not move any of the furniture in or out of the study rooms,  
  • Do not stay more than the full capacity of the rooms,
  • Be considerate to each other and leave 5 minutes for packing,
  • leave the room 10 minutes before the building closes.
  • Consume food and drink in accordance with DEENK's Library Use Policy.
