Available Membership Options
If you are a Hungarian citizen and were previously affiliated with the University of Debrecen as a student or employee, you are eligible to apply for Alumni Membership either through the Online Registration Portal or in person at any DEENK library.
Membership is valid for one year from the date of registration.

Please note: Registration initiated through the online portal does not entitle you to borrow library materials. To activate and finalize your registration, you must visit one of our libraries in person. |
Documents Required for Registration
Please bring the following documents when registering:
- a valid ID card or a driving licence issued after 1 January 2001;
- proof of address (address card);
- a valid UniPass Alumni Card.
Borrowing Privileges
Members may borrow:
- all circulating materials available on open shelves and in closed stacks;
- up to 5 items per library, with each loan renewable the permitted number of times, provided no reservation has been placed on the item.
Services Available
Members are entitled to:
- on-site access to electronic collections and databases;
- request items from closed stacks and place reservations;
- use library computers.
Services Not Available to Alumni Members
Alumni Membership does not include:
- remote (off-campus) access to licensed electronic resources, including databases, e-books, and e-journals;
- overnight borrowing of books.
Library Card
Your UniPass Alumni Card also serves as your library card.
The card is required for borrowing materials and using other library services. Its barcode is also used to access online services, including stack requests, reservations, and remote access where applicable.

Please note: If you lose your UniPass card, please notify the library immediately to prevent unauthorized use. For information about obtaining a replacement card, please visit the University Card Centre website or contact alumni@unideb.hu. |
Membership Renewal
When your membership expires, you must:
- return all borrowed library materials;
- settle any outstanding fees or charges.
Once these requirements have been fulfilled, you may renew your membership through the Online Registration Portal or in person at any DEENK library.
