Which high schools can students apply from?

DEENK accepts students from schools with which it has signed a cooperation agreement. These high schools are the following:

Application process

You can apply for community service by sending an email to study@lib.unideb.hu.

In your email, please include

• Which institution you are coming from;
• How many hours of service you wish to complete at DEENK;
• When you would like to complete the service.

I don't see my school on the list, what should I do?

If the high school of the student applying for community service is not on the list, you must notify your school's secretariat or the teacher responsible for coordinating community service. The school must then contact our Library using the document created by DEENK titled "Cooperation Agreement on the Joint Administration of School Community Service" (Együttműködési megállapodás az iskolai közösségi szolgálat közös lebonyolításáról).

Two copies of this contract must be printed and delivered to the school's secretariat. Once signed by the contracting parties (the school and DEENK), one copy remains with the School, and the other is kept by DEENK. This formally establishes the contract; community service at DEENK can only begin after the agreement is signed.

Activities During Community Service

Students are supported by a designated mentor in all tasks, who ensures that the service runs smoothly and complies with legal requirements.

Students can participate in the following diverse activities to assist with the library's operations:

• Assisting in maintaining order in the reading areas
• Organizing and reshelving library documents
• Assisting with background tasks that support education and research
• Participating in library document processing workflows
• Taking part in communication activities and event preparation
• Participating in collection management and inventory control processes
• Assisting with administrative tasks
• Contributing to the development of digital collections and services
