Following the 2001 integration, the management of DEENK quickly recognized that managing continuous transformation and the diversification of services within defined budgetary constraints could only be achieved at an appropriate standard by increasing efficiency. Consequently, we were among the first in the country to focus on implementing a library quality assurance system. The philosophy of Total Quality Management (TQM) soon permeated various segments of our library's operations, and as a result, we now possess decades of experience in this field.
This dedication was recognized by the professional leadership in 2011, when DEENK became the first institution in the country to be awarded the Qualified Library title.
The 5-year validity period of the Qualified Library title expired at the end of 2016, providing an opportunity to participate once again in the evaluation process required to regain the title. Our efforts were crowned with success once more: in November 2018, the Director-General of DEENK accepted the award for the second time.
