In this rapidly changing world, a strong emphasis is placed on continuous development, renewal, and a future-proof mindset, which inspires us to compete effectively, even with the market sector. We consider it vital to step outside of purely professional circles and, through our innovative services, go beyond traditional library services and spaces.
In March 2021, we had the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the new EFQM Model (EFQM Model 2020) and the National Recognition Scheme for Excellence, a multi-level recognition system based on the EFQM framework. At the pinnacle of these tiers stands the National Excellence Award.
The maximum passenger- and customer-centric development approach, principles, and toolkit of the new EFQM model are fully aligned with the values and mindset represented by DEENK. It encourages us to review our past operations, re-evaluate all our core principles, and boldly look at our current services and future service opportunities from a fresh perspective.
The National Recognition Scheme for Excellence offers an opportunity for recognition at the national level, allowing us to benchmark ourselves outside of our own sector. The system evaluates the extent to which an organization can deliver outstanding, excellent performance through the lens of a globally recognized and widely applied international management framework, the EFQM Model.
We completed the first tier of this multi-level recognition system in April 2021 by submitting a mini-project.
While this is just a small step on the path we have embarked upon with renewed momentum, it is undeniably a conscious first step toward taking on new challenges on our journey toward excellence.
